Vacation
All right, so I haven't updated in a few days. Today I'm going to my orientation, and then the next two weeks will be a whirlwind of different trips, so I probably won't be able to blog much at all. In the meantime, you can check out my youtube channel if you want :) I've got plenty of videos! Just click the tab "youtube" at the top of my blog and you will be directed there. Thanks for hanging in there :)

Facts of the Day #29
1. I'm helping my friend move today! (My friend Catherine that you might have seen in my follow me around vlog is moving) So it's a t-shirt and no makeup kind of day:
awkward picture, sorry I always have to have some sort of picture in a post or it looks really dumb. |
2. I might do some vlogging with her today, although it will probably be a fairly short video because I will be lifting so many washing machines that I won't have time to film. I did vlog yesterday, with my sister! We went shopping all dayyyy.
3. Ummm part two of my follow me around vlog will be up sometime today, so I'll update this post with it when I can.
Part II:
That's all the facts I have for now, maybe I'll to a facts.2 post later today!

Facts of the Day #28
1. Question. Do you all like these posts? I like being able to kind of sort of 'journal' like this. Let me know in the comments :)
2. I'm trying to change my twitter profile pic, and it's not working! I even have the right file size, and it just won't upload or save or something... I'm stuck with the dumb little egg until I can figure it out.
darn.
update: It worked! I pressed save at the bottom of the page, and although it never really loaded, somehow my picture is up now! Yay!
3. I uploaded a new tutorial:
It's Katniss's makeup from the closing ceremonies of the hunger games. It was more 'inspired' by the look, because I couldn't find any pictures of it. All I remembered was the eyelashes and the eyeliner. But I like it :)
4. I'm going to film a haul video and edit part two of my follow me around vlog today, so be on the lookout for those soon! If you haven't seen the first part of my vlog, here it is:
5. One last video! I entered the Seventeen Beauty Smartie viewer challenge with a Lily Collins inspired look. Here's my entry:
I thiiink I find out tomorrow if I win (there's four winners, each winner is featured on the Seventeen website and receives $100) so that would be super awesome! I don't get votes or anything from you watching, but I just want to show it to you because I kind of like how it turned out. Someone even requested a tutorial, so I'll try to do that soon too! Here's a picture of the look I copied: http://static.becomegorgeous.com/img/arts/2012/Feb/16/6806/lilycollinsseventeenmagazine1.jpg
6. And this is my 100th post! Eep!
Thank you all for reading :)

e.l.f studio cream eyeshadow: bronzed
This is the final e.l.f cream eyeshadow I'll be reviewing (for now at least, it's the last of the three available at my Target) It's a pretty dark bronzey shade that I actually have quite liked using as an eyeliner. I haven't tried it out a whole lot on my lids, but it wore pretty well when I used it lightly as a crease color. I've mostly used it to do some more natural winged out liner instead of my usual black eyeliner, and I think it looks pretty :)
looks so pretty in the pot!
so much extra packaging...
light swatch, heavier swatch
This shade has a different texture from dawn and candlelight. It's greasier, but not in a bad way. It's smoother. It doesn't have sparkle to it like the other shades, it has more of a shimmery glow to it. When I wear it as an eyeliner, I do have to go over it a second time because it's sheerer than an eyeliner. (It's not intended as an eyeliner, so that's fine.) It is perfectly opaque enough to use as an eyeshadow. I just don't like to wear shades this dark, so I prefer to use it as an eyeliner. I think it's a very good product all around!

e.l.f studio cream eyeshadow: candlelight
Today I'm reviewing another cream eyeshadow from e.l.f's Studio Line. I quite liked the other shade I tried (dawn), and my thoughts remain pretty much the same:
1. The packaging is a little bulky.
2. It's long wearing, and quite pretty.
Here's some pics:
fairly smooth texture
heavy swatch, lighter swatch
This shade is a little sheerer than dawn, but as it is a lighter shade I don't find that a problem. It can be built up easily as it has a fairly smooth texture. There's a little bit of sparkle to it. I love this shade because it is really brightening, and good for lazy days :) It lasts all day on my faintly oily eyes atop TFSI, and at the low price of $3, I'd say that's pretty great!
