wet'n'wild mega last lipstick: smokin' hot pink (905D)

Let me start by saying I LOVE this.  I've tried one mega last lipstick before this, and I hated it.  Reason number one: my lips were chapped.  Reason number two: It was a terrible color on me.  It totally put me off of the lipstick for a while, because I thought they would all be as terrible.  I am so glad this color proved me wrong...right after I bought this color, I had to go back and get two more.  I love those too, and I'll post reviews of them soon!

This shade is called "smokin' hot pink," or 905D.  My one and only gripe is that the name is ONLY on the plastic wrapping that you take off to open the product.  So if I don't remember a few weeks from now what the shade name is, that's going to be a bit of a problem.  (Fortunately I have this blog to keep track of things for me...I've had to refer back to several of my old posts to remember the names of different products.)  But the things I love far outweigh this problem:  You can wear it as a stain (by lightly patting it on) or as a full blown lipstick (by swiping it on).  As a stain it is matte, and as a lipstick it has a little more of a sheen, but that dries down.  These lipsticks have no shimmer at all, which I love.  They aren't really drying as long as I wear a little lip balm with them.  They do last quite a while as well.  I only have to reapply it twice at school, and that's after I've eaten something.  Although sometimes I reapply more often just because I love applying lipstick...  And the best part is that the lipstick is only $2!

Now for the pictures:

 light swatch

It's a little patchy on my hand, but on smooth lips that isn't a problem.

 two swipes

lightly applied

heavily (but not too heavily) applied

I just adore this shade!  It's such a pretty pinky shade that's perfect for spring.  It's actually one of those colors that brightens your whole face, so that's pretty great.

I hope this was helpful :)

Rimmel: Moisture Renew Lipstick in Berry Queen

I got this on clearance at Walgreens because I wanted a pretty red lipstick.  And I really like it!
The packaging is a pretty purple metallic, and it doesn't feel cheap at all.

I tried to get a good shot of the lipstick in the tube, but it was a little rough. It's somewhere inbetween these two pics.  (above and below)

Top- one swipe, Bottom- two swipes
This is mega pigmented!  You have to be carful how you apply this!  If you can get it done right when you first apply it, reapplication is easy.  All you have to do is put the lipstick in the center of your lips, because the edges pretty much stay intact all day long.
Next are several lip swatches/pictures.

This lipstick lasts pretty long.  I applied it about thirty minutes before I ate, and after my meal (plus drinking tea) there was still a stain left behind by the lipstick.  It's the stain that lasts the longest, because the next morning I woke up and I still had a stain on my lips.  The lipstick is fairly moisturizing.  I say fairly because I wouldn't suggest putting this on chapped lips.  It will not fix chapped lips.  But if you start off with smooth lips, the lipstick will keep them that way.  (Other lipsticks I have do not keep my lips smooth.)

Jordana: easyshine glossy lip color in sweet strawberry

It's official: the Jordana easyshine glossy lip colors are awesome!  I'm showing off sweet strawberry today.
Packaging:  The only thing I don't like is that the lip color doesn't swivel all the way down.  Because of that, you can nick off chunks of it with the lid.  However, the product goes fairly quick if you constantly reapply so you don't have to worry about it for long.  The cap stays on well, and the simple design looks nice.

Swiveled all the way out.
Swatches- The top swatch is three swipes, the bottom is one.  It really is just a pretty, sheer strawberry color.
Lip swatch.  It looks really nice on, although you need to have REALLY smooth and moisturized lips to make it look this good.  If your lips are chapped in the slightest, exfoliate first and use a lip balm underneath.  As you can see, you can build up the color to make it quite bright.

It's not particularly long lasting (it will NOT last through eating...) but for $2, it's pretty great!

Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lip Color in Metallic Mauve

 one swipe, 3-4 swipes
above and below: different angles to show off the frost and the color

lip swatch

This lip color is pretty moisturizing.  It is very light but still adds a pretty pink to your lips.  I don't think it is overly frosty, and it looks really nice with a clear gloss. I likes it!

Wet'n'Wild Natural Wear Lip Shimmer in Berry

Oh so pretty, I would say this is my lips but better, in an uber natural way...
the one thing I hate is that the shade name is only on the wrapping...sigh.
 cute packaging...
 comparison to a wet'n'wild lipstick
at first glance, I thought this would not be shimmery.  (Another shade I own, spice, is not shimmery.)
But now, you can sort of see the shimmer in the swatch
it's more prominant in this pic
and on the lip swatch.

Oh, glorious, sheer goodness.  This is soo pretty :)   I would also say that this product defies categorization.  berry is sheer like a tinted lip balm, both berry and spice have a consistancy that isn't lip balm or quite lipstick either.  But spice is fairly opaque.  grr...
ps: here is a comparison swatch of berry and spice
as you can see, berry has more shimmer!

Wet'n'Wild Lipstick in Breeze

This might now be my favorite Wet'n'Wild lipstick...but you know, I say that every time I get a new one.

 One layer/several layers

I love it! It's very wearable as it is slightly sheer.  It adds just enough color and isn't drying.  And at $1 (and that's when it isn't even on sale) this is awesome!
